DUC Entrance Bursaries are available to new applicants only. Eligible students will receive a one-timeGraduate Entrance Bursary disbursed equally over 3 consecutive semesters. The amount allocated to those in a Master's program totals $6,000 and the amount allocated to those in a Doctoral program totals $8,000.

Eligibility: In order to be considered for a Graduate Entrance Bursary, students must: 

  • be Canadian or permanent residents;
  • be enrolled full-time in a Graduate program and have maintained an A- average grade;
  • not have surpassed the expected graduation deadline for his or her program. 


Application process: Complete the required application form. Submit the completed application to the Office of the Registrar, (Office 310).

Deadline for application:  November 15, 2019, at 3:00pm.

Application forms are sent to eligible students by mail with the Letter of Admission. The Entrance Bursaries are distributed after the beginning of each semester.

It was founded in Ottawa, in 1900, modelled on the study centres of the Order of Preachers, as the centre of graduate studies for Canadian Dominicans.
