To honour the memory and service of the late Rev. Donald Jackson, a professor and Interim President (1964-1966), the Jackson Entrance Awards were established to demonstrate the value Crandall University places on faith-based education and vocational Christian ministry. These entrance awards are designed to recognize Canadian and international students who graduate from Christian secondary education, students from families engaged in vocational Christian ministry, and students who graduate from faith-based Christian homeschool settings.

A letter of application must be received by the Admissions and Financial Awards Office confirming the applicant meets at least one of these criteria prior to the intended start date of full-time studies.

The Jackson Entrance Awards are valued at $1,000 per qualifying student.  These awards are non-renewable and are provided to those engaged in full-time study at Crandall.  They are offered with rolling admission (no deadline), and can be combined with other scholarships, awards, and bursaries offered by the University.

University Description
The school was founded in 1949 under the name United Baptist Bible Training School (UBBTS), and served as both a secondary school and a Bible school. Over two decades, the focus of the school gradually shifted toward post-secondary programs. In 1968, UBBTS became a Bible and junior Christian liberal arts college, and in 1970 the name was changed to Atlantic Baptist College (ABC).
